Prolight + Sound has been postponed by show organiser Messe Frankfurt due to the spread of Covid-19 (corona virus) in Europe. They have expressed in a press release that “the health of exhibitors, visitors, contractors and employees has top priority” for them. They have also stated:
“Due to the increased spread of the corona virus in Europe, Messe Frankfurt decided to postpone Prolight + Sound after intensive consultations. The sector’s most important international meeting place for technologies and services relating to entertainment, shows and events, audio-visual systems integration and content creation will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 26 to 29 May 2020. Existing visitor tickets will also be valid in May 2020.”
AV Magazine also reports that the “show will be put back to May as show venue Frankfurt Messe cannot carry out health checks required by the authorities to prevent the virus from spreading, with travel restrictions also influential”.
