During a live performance by the group idntt, the stage floor appeared to break, causing a frightening accident that briefly halted the broadcast.

On the 22nd broadcast of Mnet’s music program “M Countdown,” idntt were performing their new song “Pretty Boy Swag” when part of the stage floor beneath the members suddenly appeared to give way.

The accident occurred while idntt were in the middle of an intense choreography. LED panels installed on the stage floor shifted out of place, creating a gap and exposing the understructure of the stage. It was a dangerous situation that could easily have led to serious injuries if a member’s foot had slipped into the gap or they had fallen.

The production team halted the performance on the spot. After repair work was completed, idntt regrouped and returned to the stage.

Mnet told Maeil Business Star Today, “During the live broadcast of ‘M Countdown,’ we confirmed that the LED panels on the stage floor had shifted. Placing artist safety as our top priority, we immediately stopped the performance and carried out an emergency inspection.”

They continued, “We then quickly completed repairs on the stage, and after consulting with the artists and confirming safety, the performance resumed and the broadcast went out as normal, including the re-performance.” They added, “We deeply apologize to the artists, the fans who came to the venue, and all viewers for causing concern with this incident.”

Mnet also pledged, “Going forward, we will conduct even more thorough pre-show inspections to ensure a safe production environment.”

idntt’s agency also moved to reassure fans. A representative said, “Fortunately, none of the members were injured and everyone is fine,” adding, “After the stage was cleared, the members were able to perform again right away.”

Although the incident ended without major injuries, fans were badly shaken.
