The course at a glance

This classroom is designed to provide stage machinery designers, system integrators, installers, and operators with an in-depth understanding of the responsibility and liability framework related to stage machinery installations. It covers equipment ownership, machinery interferences, safety-related interfaces, handover procedures, test reports, periodic inspections, and more.

Structure Description

• The course consists of 5 lessons that take place in 1 day.
• The duration of each lesson is 1 hr max.
• All lessons are online based.
• At the end of the day there will be a Q&A session.

Requirements

• A computer fitted with a webcam and microphone to participate in class lessons.
• Access to the internet.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the engineering requirements related to each type of chain hoist considered in the course
• Understand the similarities and differences, and which one prevails depending on the country the machinery is installed in
• Draft the user’s integration instructions
• Structure and document upgrades or downgrades
• Define testing procedures for protective measures
• Analyse and judge if the public documentation received by the manufacturer is consistent with the chain hoist’s intended use

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for those who install and integrate machineries with control systems and are responsible for the assembly of machinery with the intended use of suspending loads without people in the hazard zone.
