Certifying machinery for the entertainment industry requires specific safety assessments and documentation. BLUMANO will provide product analysis of the hardware and software, and SIL and HAZOP evaluations. Our consultant experts can issue the final documentation analysis and liaise with the certifying bodies to get your product approved, placed on the market and put into service.

Product Analysis

We’ll analyse the product or product’s family, its market and your company’s goal, so we can define what is required to obtain the correct certification for your product.

Software Analysis

BLUMANO will advise you on the best way to analyse your software, and determine if there is any interference within the safety path. We’ll also analyse your software, and see what is needed to acquire a software certification.

Hardware Analysis

FMEDA (Failure Mode, Effects, Diagnostic and Analysis) is a methodology designed to identify potential failure modes in a product or process, and to assess the risks associated with those modes. Our service will provide FMEDA for your products and identify the consequences of possible failure conditions in your machinery’s components.

URS

To understand the safety analysis, we can supply the User Requirement Specification for every product’s individual usage scenario. BLUMANO then defines the necessary safety functions, their level, and which standards they comply with.

HAZOP

The FMEDA analysis is complemented with a list of hazardous cases to be considered outside the FMEDA calculations, but stays within the safety analysis.

Safety Integrity Level

Based on industry standards (and other variables), we’ll obtain the safety integrity level for each safety function listed in the URS, from SIL 1 to SIL 3 and give you the complete documentation for your product so it’s ready for approval.

Product Approval

For the final step, BLUMANO supplies the documentation analysis, and liaises with the major certified bodies to obtain product conformity markings such as CE, UL, DIN, etc. View our Certifications and Compliance services for further details.
