Engineering approvals of machinery are a legal requirement in some European countries. In Germany, this requirement used to be called BGV-C1. Nowadays, our engineers perform the DGUV V 17/18 approval based on the EN 17206 European standard. The approval must refer to a specific fixed installation or tour assembly within a listed set of venues and dates. Often this approval is recognised in other European countries as an added value and as a valid third-party assessment of the machinery safety requirements and tender specifications.

For machinery owners, we can also provide a scheduled approval service for machinery inspection as DGUV 315/390. For machinery or control system manufacturers, we can produce a signed functional safety report up to SIL3 (EN 61508 or EN 62061) or PLe (EN IEC 13849). For manufacturers of mechanical and structural parts, we can provide the calculation notes signed by a qualified national engineer. We work with mechanical designers, machinery manufacturers and large tours with overhead structures to generate the required paperwork (Baubuch) for the different European countries.
