Fifteen people were injured earlier this month when a lighting rig collapsed at a club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
British DJ Max Dean was playing when the incident occurred at about 5am on Sunday, 1st March. Around 700 people were thought to be in attendance at the open-air Archi Club that night.
Videos shared on social media showed a large lighting truss collapsing in the VIP area of the venue behind the DJ booth. It hit a number of attendees, causing some to fall and sustain injuries.
Firefighters, police and paramedics rushed to the scene, and people were evacuated from the club. Six people were taken to hospital, per Need To Know. Another two women also made their own way to hospital and received treatment.
Those injured were aged between 25 and 49, and two of them reportedly suffered traumatic brain injuries. They have now all been discharged from hospital.
Archi Club has reportedly been closed since the incident while an investigation into how it came about is carried out. The club hasn’t publicly commented on the matter.
