Olivia Rodrigo suffered a brutal fall through a huge hole in the stage floor during her Guts world tour stop in Australia.
The 21-year-old singer was filmed performing in front of around 14,000 fans at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday night. Olivia was trying to hype up the crowd when she accidentally walked into a stage trapdoor.
The audience gasped as Olivia fell below the stage in a video which has been shared on TikTok. Olivia managed to remain professional and climbed back on stage without assistance. Brushing off the incident, she joked: „Oh my god, that was fun.“
Olivia added: „I’m OK. Sometimes there is just a hole in the stage, that’s all right. OK … where was I? How are you doing tonight Melbourne!“
Fans have been praising Olivia for how well she handled the fall. One person commented: „Hope she’s doing alright! Stages can be tricky sometimes, but I’m sure she’s a pro and will bounce back strong.“
Another said: „She handled that so well,“ while a third fan added: „Ok but are u okay that looked like it hurt.“ Olivia seems to have seen the funny side and even shared the video of her fall on her own TikTok account.
She captioned the post: „subtleforeshadowing,“ seemingly referencing her 2023 hit Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl. The song lyrics read: „I tripped and fell, I told secrets I shouldn’t tell / I stumbled over all my words, I made it weird, I made it worse / Each time I step outside, it’s social suicide.“
