An accident occurred during the live broadcast of Mnet ‘M Countdown’ where the stage collapsed.
On the 22nd broadcast of ‘M Countdown,’ an accident occurred where part of the stage floor collapsed while IDENTITY was performing their new song ‘Pretty Boy Swag.’
In response, the ‘M Countdown’ production team halted the stage and aired music videos of the performing artists.
Regarding this, the production team stated, “During the live broadcast, it was confirmed that the stage floor LED had become misaligned. Prioritizing the safety of the artists, we immediately halted the stage and conducted an emergency inspection,” and explained, “Afterwards, we swiftly completed the stage repair work. Following consultations with the artists and confirming safety, the broadcast, including the re-performance, was transmitted normally.”
Finally, they conveyed, “We deeply apologize to the artists, fans who visited the site, and viewers for any concern caused by this incident. In the future, we will ensure a safe production environment through more thorough pre-inspections.
