A worker fell from a 2-meter-high stage and lost consciousness as he was dismantling Taiwanese rock band MayDay’s concert stage at the Central harbourfront on Friday morning.

Police said they received the report at around 5.30 am that the 21-year-old worker slipped from the stage and fell from a height of about two meters. He was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in an unconscious state.

Sources said there was not much lighting during the dismantling work which could have been the cause of the accident.

Police have classified the case as an industrial accident.
